We are supporting the building of a kindergarten in Liberia – at the Beulah Mission, run by CAFMACP. Members of the organisation (individuals and organisations) work together, helping one another in order to rebuild family and commnity life. CAFMAPC has been donated 50 acres of land in Bomi County where the organisation plans to establish a Missions Retreat, Training and Development Centre. The development of this land will provide services and employment to many of those in the surrounding rural villages. The first priority is the construction of a school as most of the children in the area are receiving little or no education.
CAFMACP saw the need to provide education for the younger children in the surrounding villages who have never received or experienced a stable educational environment. Many of these younger children cannot make the distance to schools already operating in Bomi County area and so are staying at home. Beulah Mission School initially is a ‘small scale school’ and has opened as a ‘pilot study class’ for these children.
CAFMACP’s further intention is to construct a main purpose-built school allowing more students at different levels to come and receive an education.
The building is progressing slowly, and more funding is needed now for the work, which we would love to support.
It’s only £1 a brick! How many can you buy …?!
£16,000 is still needed to complete the first phase of the building, so – brick by brick – we are going to raise the funding to make this happen! How many bricks can you buy?!
